Privacy & Security — Quran Ease

Your trust matters. We respect your privacy and take the security of your data seriously. Quran Ease is designed to help you read and listen without compromising your personal information.

Data we collect

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

We collect only what is necessary for core functionality, such as:

• reading progress and resume data,
• downloaded content metadata,
• anonymous crash and performance data for app stability.

We do not collect or store sensitive personal information.

Firebase & third-party services

We use Firebase services for specific features:

• Firebase Crashlytics — anonymous crash reports to improve app stability.
• Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics to help us understand how features are used (for example, most-visited screens/fragments, OS version).
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver notifications.

These services process data only to provide the agreed functionality. We do not share your personal information with advertisers.

Location & Prayer Times (Needed location information)

Location permission is optional and required only for the Prayer Times and Qibla features. GPS must be enabled while using the Prayer Times feature so the app can calculate accurate prayer times.

Coordinates are used to compute prayer times. We do not store your precise coordinates. Only the location information strictly required for the calculation is used, and we do not share it with third parties. If we change this behavior in the future, we will update this policy and notify users.

Offline usage & local storage

Quran Ease works fully offline after the initial data download.

Personal preferences (reading progress, selected fonts, text size) are stored locally on your device using Room Database. Local data is protected and not accessible by other apps.

Children’s privacy

Our app is not targeted to children under 13. Parents and guardians should supervise their children’s app usage and install only teacher-approved applications.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly take steps to delete the data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, to reflect changes in Google Play’s publisher policies or to add new features. The most current version will always be available on the Google Play Store and in the app. Continued use of the app after updates implies acceptance of the revised policy.

User control & rights

You can opt out of notifications, location and alarm permissions at any time from the app settings.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have legal rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). To exercise these rights, contact support (details below).
